In order to group together in one place all the activities of the Salomon Flight Crew community, we created, in collaboration with Origin Design, a bilingual microsite that allows the running team to share information.
The design and HTML integration of the bilingual site were carried out for Salomon.
Sponsored by the Salomon brand, the Flight Crew is a team of trail runners who test out the company’s products and promote them in social media. Provided with shoes, race bibs and other items free of charge by Salomon, the runners’ mission is to act as ambassadors for the brand and to inform the general public of their experiences. In order to present the team, its approach and the different platforms on which its members are present, Salomon needed a website that would serve as a hub for all the team’s activities.
Origin Design, which handled Salomon’s communications, asked Marengère Design to design and produce the site. Inspired by images provided by Salomon, the bilingual website groups together the latest news from the Flight Crew. All the main social media platforms—Facebook, Twitter, blog—are integrated to the site, which allows visitors to get a quick overview of everything that’s happening. The site also allows the team to announce upcoming events and to invite fans of the brand to those events. As part of this project, Marengère Design was in charge of the design, under the supervision of Origin Design, as well as the HTML integration.
To reinforce the Flight Crew members’ sense of belonging, Salomon needed t-shirts that the team could wear proudly. With Origin Design, three t-shirt models were designed for Salomon’s Flight Crew. The main constraint here consisted of working with three colours only, a challenge that we met hands down!
