We created this interactive banner in order to promote the multiple activities proposed in Whistler, British Columbia.
Tourism Whistler operates in a highly competitive environment. To stand out and increase the number of visitors to its website, the organization wanted to create a punchy and informative online campaign to show all the activities offered by the resort, which is mostly known for downhill skiing.
In collaboration with Origin Design, we created an interactive Flash banner (rich media) which unfolds when scrolled over to show the breadth of the mountain and all the activities offered there. The effect of grandeur generated by the moving map and the videos that appear when one scrolls over an icon allow visitors to better discover the mountain. Each of the videos presents an activity or interesting place to visit on the mountain. This type of interactive advertisement also gives administrators access to complete and detailed visit statistics.
